We hope you had a great Christmas! We’re very sorry we haven’t written to you earlier. We were waiting because we wanted to include some photos but we’re having trouble with the computer.
We’ve had a busy 6 weeks here. We rescued a little puppy on a busy road who had lost her mummy. We spent a week going in to the balloon compound many times a day, everyday to feed her with a syringe but she was too little and she died. That was very sad for us as we lost our other ballooning dog out here about 6 weeks ago.
Today we are going to a local friend’s house for lunch. He is a sand painter. They always serve us enormous lunches and they never eat with us. They gather around the table and watch us eat our food. It used to feel weird but we’re used to being watched now. We’re looking forward to it. We’re going to ask him to do us some paintings of Iroquois people!!
We hear it’s been very cold at home. We hope you’re all ok in the yurt!!
Love Lewella and Henry
Dear Lewella and Henry,
Thanks so much for being in touch with us. We have missed you. Yes it has been cold here and we are thankful for the warm wood burner in the yurt. We had a work day last week and put down lots of woodchip which helps with all the mud. Did you get your picture of the iroquios in sand? We really look forward to seeing it if you did. How was the food, what did you eat at the meal? Sending you lots of love Anna
I miss you. I cleaned the all the pans in the mud kitchen on the work day and made a chocolate cake out of mud. There is a girl called Shannon who is now coming to the Green House, Shannon is very fun to play with and I think you will like her. I finished making my chair and I started making a little teddy table and chair for a teddy cafe in my room. Can't wait for you to come back to the Green House, I ask my mum every week how many weeks it is until you come back. Sorry to hear about your dog and the little puppy. I have drawn you a picture for when you come back. I 've also made the table and chair for the mud kitchen that I made for my teddies. Love Beth xx
