This week Curtis did his presentation on 'Pre-historic Animals', he shared two beautiful books with the group and had researched a dinosaur for each child in 'Top Trumps' format.
After 'Sit Spot' we orientated ourselves to the compass and spent time in a quiet wild space and listened. We listened for all the sounds we could hear around us and which direction they came from and created 'Sound Maps'.
The children also began planning their Interest Led Projects. It was so wonderful to hear their ideas and how the group got excited and asked each other questions to find out more.
Golden afternoon was wonderful, a fire, spontaneous games creating water holders and catapults, foraging for elderflower to make cordial, a lovely time of creativity, lego, story writing, nature connection and co-operative play.
We have a new volunteer working with us on Wednesdays for the next 5 weeks called Villy. She has lots of experience working with children and also currently studying homoeopathy. Please welcome her when you see her, we are thrilled to have her with us.
